How to clear cache in AOL

Wednesday, May 27, 2009

Cache is a temporary storage area where frequently accessed data can be stored for rapid access. Once the data is stored in the cache, it can be used in the future by accessing the cached copy rather than re-fetching the original data.

To modify your Cache so that your browser loads the most recent copy of a page, please read these steps carefully.

  1. Click on Safety,
  2. Click on Settings,
  3. Click on the Essentials tab,
  4. Click Internet (Web Browser) Settings,
  5. On the right-hand side of the window, click Internet Explorer Settings,

You should now have a window open called Internet Options.

  6. Click on the General tab,
  7. Under the Temporary Internet files section, click the Settings... button,
  8. Click Every visit to the page,
  9. Click the OK button,
  10. Click the OK button in the Internet Options window,
  11. Close the AOL Preferences: Essentials window,
  12. Reload the page.
